Ah,
this weather reminds me of you. Reminds me of the fond moments when we were
together yet miles apart. I have never liked monsoon till you walked straight
into my life, quite literally, when I first met you a few years back. I can
vividly remember the day, though I never thought at that moment you would be
such a priceless person to me. I remember how you actually taught me certain
things which would be buried between us till our last breath. I remember how
we shared little glances amidst the serious crowd discussing serious issues and
still we kept on smiling and talking to each other just by looking at each
other. I remember when you were in a train journey and it was raining both in
Kolkata and abroad, when you were almost in the other part of the globe
researching things of your choice. I remember that night, when we kept on
texting each other just to give each other company. I remember the entire
conversation and how gradually we became connected, almost 24*7.
That
train journey changed my life. I believe, ours. Till then, we were acquaintances,
after that we became inseparable. Just like the way, you told me monsoon plays
an important part in arousing animals’ behavior, I guess it changes my mood
also. So when it rains, and a gush of cold wind sweeps across my face, I
remember you. I just hope my mobile will beep and your name will flash.
I
don’t know what to name our relation. We know we are not friends and we cannot
be called lovers. But then, I don’t want also. Some things are inexplicable and
let it be. I am happy just by remembering the way we were, the way we could
share everything, just everything under the sun despite the weird ways of the
world. I miss you. But I really want the
happiness and the success you desire and I know that can happen only because we
have left each other.
I
just want to thank you, for making my life full of adventures and enriching my
experiences.
I
thank you for being with me for those days, when I actually needed someone to
be with me.
I
thank you for bringing a smile on my face whenever I remember us, and I thank
you for being a part of me.
